ABOUT LEBANON, OR
Lebanon is a smalltown located close enough to both larger cities in Oregon. It’s known for its foot-and bike trails, waterside parks and character that you’ll love! The population of Liberty City is mostly white with a small African American minority and Native American people. There are also large populations from other races such as Asian residents who form nearly 5% or more than 2 times greater amount relative too those in the state at large; this shows how diverse it really has become over time!
Jeremiah and Jemima Ralston, the first couple to settle in what is now known as ‘the town’ by founding their home on its low rise. They built a store nearby which soon became an important stop for those looking towards California during gold rush days because it also served as post office until 1855 when they donated land that would become Santiam Academy due largely thanks tp Mrs Jeralds donation; This Methodist Episcopalian Church operated this institution continuously up until 1906.
The Santiam Kalapuya were a tribe of Native Americans who had dwindled in number from malaria and other diseases before the arrival of American settlers. In 1855, they sold their rights to an area near present-day Eugene Oregon which was then known as “Upper Klamath Lake” or ‘Lebanon.’ There upon waiting for removal southwards towards Grand Ronde Valley; however this occurred much later than expected due largely because private land grants required confirmation through Congress first.
