Last year's ice storm brought down our beautiful oak trees and with that, several sections of our fence. Newberg, Oregon is a city that has grown exponentially in the past few decades. Located just outside of Portland with its own university for George Fox University students to attend makes it an ideal spot not only residential but also educational opportunities await!
Ewing Young, a fur trader from California who settled in Portland after leading pioneering brigades there came to establish his home on the west bank of Willamette River near its mouth. His place became known early on as Chehalem and later changed name again due Rogers’ founding which led settlers moved down river towards Newberg starting around 1848 where they founded what would become an important community still today called Roger’s Landing after him.
Located about 25 miles (40 km) southwest Portland, Oregon is Newberg. This small town has become known for its rapidly growing population that currently stands at an estimated 1,098 people! It’s also home to Springbrook which was once considered separate from the community but now can be found within city limits as well. The US Census Bureau reports total area measurements with this particular listing containing 581 acres – or 15 square kilometers . aggregating 176 feet above sea level on average-, making it perfect real estate soil considering how much land there already!
