Elevate your property’s charm and functionality with a beautiful cedar fence with lattice top from OnPoint Fencing and Decking. As Salem’s premier cedar fence with lattice top builder in Salem, OR, we combine traditional craftsmanship with elegant design to create fencing solutions that offer both privacy and decorative appeal. With over 20 years of experience serving the Willamette Valley, we deliver quality installations that enhance your outdoor living space for decades to come.
A cedar fence with lattice top represents the perfect balance between complete privacy and open aesthetics. The solid lower panels provide security and seclusion, while the decorative lattice section at the top allows natural light and air circulation, creating an inviting atmosphere without sacrificing your family’s privacy. This classic design has remained popular among Oregon homeowners because it adds architectural interest while maintaining practical functionality.
Benefits of Cedar Fence with Lattice Top
Choosing a cedar fence with lattice top provides numerous advantages that make it an excellent investment for your property. Western Red Cedar’s natural characteristics make it the ideal material for Pacific Northwest climates, while the lattice design element adds unique value that solid fencing cannot match.
The benefits of cedar fence with lattice top include exceptional durability combined with aesthetic versatility. Cedar contains natural oils and tannins that resist rot, decay, and insect damage without chemical treatments, ensuring your fence withstands Oregon’s wet winters and dry summers. Unlike pressure-treated lumber that may last only 10 to 15 years, a properly maintained cedar fence with lattice top can provide 20 to 25 years of beautiful, reliable service.
Key advantages that homeowners love:
- Enhanced curb appeal with decorative lattice design
- Natural light filtration while maintaining privacy
- Perfect support structure for climbing plants and vines
- Reduced wind resistance compared to solid fencing
- Naturally resistant to moisture, rot, and insects
- Beautiful aging process with minimal maintenance
- Adds property value and architectural interest
- Creates defined outdoor spaces with character
Functional benefits for your lifestyle:
- Privacy where you need it most at eye level
- Improved air circulation in your outdoor spaces
- Less imposing appearance than solid privacy fencing
- Customizable height combinations for specific needs
- Compatible with various architectural styles
The lattice top section transforms your fence from purely functional to genuinely attractive. This design element softens the visual impact of tall fencing while creating opportunities for creative landscaping with climbing roses, jasmine, clematis, or other flowering vines that thrive in Oregon’s climate.

Professional Cedar Fence with Lattice Top Installation
Expert cedar fence with lattice top installation requires precision, experience, and attention to detail. At OnPoint Fencing and Decking, our licensed and insured team has perfected the installation process to ensure your fence looks beautiful and performs flawlessly for years. We handle every aspect of your project from initial design consultation through final cleanup, using only premium Western Red Cedar and quality hardware.
Our installation process begins with a thorough site evaluation and consultation to understand your specific needs, preferences, and property characteristics. We take precise measurements, discuss customization options, and provide a detailed estimate with no hidden costs. During installation, our experienced crew uses steel posts set in concrete for maximum stability, ensuring your fence remains straight and sturdy through changing seasons.
We pay meticulous attention to the transition between the solid privacy panels and lattice sections, creating a seamless, professional appearance. Each panel is carefully aligned and secured with weather-resistant fasteners that prevent rust and corrosion. The lattice sections are properly framed and supported to maintain their structure and appearance over time, even when supporting climbing plants.
Quality installation makes the difference between a fence that looks good initially and one that remains beautiful for decades. Our team’s expertise ensures proper spacing for wood expansion and contraction, adequate drainage to prevent water damage, and secure attachment methods that withstand Oregon’s weather extremes. We complete every project with thorough cleanup, leaving your property neat and ready to enjoy your new fence immediately.
Customization Options for Your Cedar Lattice Fence
Every property and homeowner has unique needs, which is why we offer extensive customization options for your cedar fence with lattice top. From overall height to lattice pattern selection, we work closely with you to design a fence that perfectly complements your home’s architecture and landscape design while meeting your practical requirements for privacy and security.
Choose your ideal configuration with solid panel heights typically ranging from 4 to 6 feet, topped with lattice sections of 1 to 2 feet for total fence heights of 5 to 8 feet. Select from square lattice or diagonal lattice patterns, each offering distinct visual appeal. The lattice opening size can be adjusted to balance privacy, light transmission, and support for climbing plants based on your preferences.
Finishing options allow you to achieve your desired aesthetic. Natural cedar can be left untreated to weather gracefully into a beautiful silver-gray patina, or you can choose from a wide range of stains and sealants to preserve the wood’s original warm tones or create a custom color that coordinates with your home’s exterior. Add decorative post caps, lighting elements, or integrated planter boxes to further personalize your fence.
We also offer good neighbor style construction where both sides of the fence present an equally attractive appearance, making your fence a beautiful addition to the neighborhood rather than creating an unappealing back side for your neighbors to view.
